We all desire something, almost the same thing in life which is the peace of mind. Everyone desires to be free, to have the freedom to enjoy family, friends, life, work and to be able to rest and not to worry about anything at all. We all want to enjoy without any hindrance and not be overwhelmed with any worry that may rob us of life, its purpose and vigor.
God, in his infinite mercies has given us this Bible text, Philippians 4: 6-9 to help you and I enjoy the maximum peace he has planned for us. We get depressed when we can’t get the necessary peace of mind. We are quick to get angry and also transfer this aggression to God or someone else close to you.
God helps you and I to be at peace through his precious blood. His blood takes charge of everything in our lives. He died on the cross of Calvary and shed his blood for us that we might have an everlasting peace. He fights for you and takes control of all that poses to be a problem to you.
To enjoy this peace, the best place to start is with God.
God helps his children to have true peace by praying about anything and everything. God wants us to come to him through prayer and thanksgiving.
God is aware and concerned about everything that goes on in our lives. He is concerned about our movement, our growth, our career, the job you get and the leisure times you engage in. God helps us to attain this peace by guarding our minds, strengthening us and giving us the grace to access his throne.
God also helps us to be at peace by ensuring we don’t worry about anything. In this case, we have to guide our actions and thoughts with all diligence. Do you know that being worried is a sin? It simply means your trust is not in God. God warns us not to be anxious about anything.
The power of the Holy Spirit helps us to completely trust God beyond our abilities.
God helps us to be at peace by our acts of doing. He wants us to put into practice all we have learned.
The Bible which is God’s words is our only companion of being at peace. This book exposes God’s plans and thoughts about us to us.
These words are written for us so that we may experience and enjoy God’s peace. To enjoy more of this peace, commune with God and make your requests known to him and he will reveal the secret things of this world to you.
